Mauricio Pochettino has told reporters that he could consider his future at Tottenham Hotspur if he guides the club to Champions League glory this season.
Spurs go into tomorrow evening’s semi final second leg against Ajax looking to overturn a 1-0 defeat which they suffered in last Tuesday’s match at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Ajax have already knocked out Real Madrid and Juventus out of the competition and their young side wil pose a tough test for the Premier League side.
The winner will face either Liverpool or Barcelona in the final which will be held in Madrid on June 1st.
The Spurs boss appearedto joke that if Spurs win the Champions League to end his five-year chapter then “I will go home”. However, when asked by the media if he was joking, he said he wasn’t and spoke about ‘with all the circumstances this season’ it being ‘difficult to repeat’ such a feat.
Football journalist Alasdair Gold was present in Pochettino’s press conference and Tweeted the following.
