Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has jetted off to Qatar on the back of arguably his worst spell in North London.
Pochettino watched his side embarrassed by Bayern Munich on their own turf followed by another lethargic display in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
The Argentine is due to give a speech today at the Aspire Global Summit which brings football experts from all over the world together and runs until Wednesday.
The Evening Standard claim that Pochettino was invited to speak at the event in the Middle East several months ago, where he will be accompanied by his trusted assistant Jesus Perez.
During his two-day hiatus, Pochettino has handed over the coaching responsibility at Hotspur Way to Miguel D’Agostino and goalkeeping coach Toni Jiminez.
The pair will only have a handful of first team players to put through their paces with a number of established players currently representing their country on international duty.
Opinion
Hopefully, the change of scenery and short break will do Pochettino the world of good to allow him to return to training on Thursday refreshed and ready to tackle the challenge ahead which we face.
