Michael Owen shares his view on if Spurs can beat Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Burnley tomorrow looking to keep their title hopes alive in what will be a tough contest.

Only Manchester United (9) are on a longer current unbeaten run in the Premier League than Burnley (7). The Clarets last had a longer unbeaten run in the top-flight between May-September 1966 (9 games).

Former England striker Michael Owen has given his prediction on whether he thinks Mauricio Pochettino’s side can come away from Turf Moor with all three points.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are boosted by the return of Harry Kane, but it remains to be seen if the stat striker will be risked.

In his absence, Spurs have won every Premier League game and a Champions League last-16 first leg against Borussia Dortmund, but were knocked out of both domestic cup competitions.

Owen believes that Spurs will come away from the match against the Clarets with the victory to continue to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City.

He told BetVictor: “Burnley are unbeaten in their last seven PL games, but they have a modest home record against the “big six” taking just two points from the last 42 available.

“Spurs have kept a clean sheet in their last three visits to Turf Moor, but this is a much-improved Clarets side who will test the title credentials of Mauricio Pochettino’s side. I feel Spurs will edge what promises to be a terrific game between two inform sides and gain a club record 12th PL away win of the campaign.”
