Michael Owen on who will win between Spurs and Brighton

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Brighton and Hove Albion this evening.

Tottenham return to action in the Premier League looking to put Thursday night’s embarrassing 1-0 defeat to Royal Antwerp behind them.

Jose Mourinho’s side struggled to create many opportunities against their Belgian opponents and will be hoping that Kane and Son can continue their impressive top flight partnership.

Just six games into this season, Kane (7 assists) and Son (2 assists) have combined for nine Premier League goals so far – the joint-most for Spurs in a single campaign in the competition alongside Teddy Sheringham & Darren Anderton (9 in both 1992-93 and 1994-95) and Teddy Sheringham & Chris Armstrong (9 in 1995-96).

Mourinho revealed that Tanguy Ndombele will return to his squad after missing the Europa League tie in midweek (Football.London).

Owen believes that Spurs will return to winning ways in North London with Mourinho’s men posing a significant attacking threat.

Owen told BetVictor: “Tottenham take on Brighton after a good result on the road against Burnley. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted that his side kept a clean sheet and will go into this aiming for another 3 points.

“Brighton have been a bit stop start this season, and I think they might get caught out against a superior side that are very dangerous when going forward. I’m going with a home win for Jose Mourinho’s men.”
