Michael Owen on who will win between Tottenham and Olympiacos

Tottenham Hotspur return to Champions League action this evening in what will be Jose Mourinho’s first European experience with his new club.

The fixture will also be the first time in which the Portuguese has managed the North London side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The home side can book their place in the knockout stages of the competition with victory against Olympiacos.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham kicked off their Group B campaign with a trip to Greece in match day one and took a two-goal lead courtesy of Harry Kane and Lucas Moura only to throw away the advantage and ended up drawing the game 2-2.

The draw is the only point which Olympiacos have earned in their first four matches after suffering a loss to Red Star Belgrade along with back-to-back defeats at the hands of Bayern Munich.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has tipped Jose Mourinho to maintain his 100% record after beating West Ham United 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Owen told BetVictor: “Spurs began life under Jose Mourinho with a win against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday and a win against Olympiakos will see last season’s beaten finalists safely through to the knock-out stages.

“Olympiakos need to win in London to stand any chance of reaching the last 16 but, after picking up just one point from their opening four games, I expect Spurs to have too much for the Greek Super League outfit although it may not be as easy as some would have us believe.”
