Michael Owen predicts whether Tottenham can beat Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur will continue their fine run of form when they face Bournemouth tomorrow, according to Michael Owen.

The former Liverpool and England striker now works as a football pundit and has tipped Mauricio Pochettino’s side to get all three points at Wembley.

Bournemouth have never beaten Spurs in league competition (P6 W0 D1 L5), with each of those six games coming in the Premier League since the start of the 2015/16 season.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make some changes to his starting line up in order to keep his squad fresh due to the current demand of how frequent his side are in action.

He is likely to be once again without Jan Vertonghen (thigh), Mousa Dembele (ankle), Eric Dier (appendicitis), Serge Aurier (groin) and Victor Wanyama (knee).

Victory against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday helped Spurs to close the gap on Manchester City to just two points, after they failed to win at home to Crystal Palace.

Owen told BetVictor: “Bournemouth have never beaten Spurs in the league and I don’t expect them to buck that trend at Wembley despite the Cherries picking up three points against Brighton on Saturday.

“At the time of writing the north London outfit were yet to play their final pre-Xmas fixture at Goodison Park, but they were excellent at the Emirates when reaching the League Cup semi-finals last week and I feel they will keep the points in the capital.

“Prediction: Spurs to win 3-1.”
