‘More money for Levy on a matchday’ – Some Spurs fans react to club announcement

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to respond to a Tweet from the club regarding the new stadium.

Yesterday, the club confirmed that they will increase the capacity of their stadium after an application was approved by Haringey Council.

The stadium opened its doors in April after several delays when Crystal Palace were the visitors in the Premier League and now have the green light to increase the capacity from the current 62,062 to 62,214 seats.

Tottenham are said to have spent £1billion (The Mail) on the development of the state of the art arena which also contains dedicated facilities to host NFL matches in North London as part of a 10-year partnership.

The extra 152 seats also gives Spurs fans extra bragging rights when comparing the capacity of their stadium to the 60,260 supporters which the Emirates is able to cater for (Sky Sports).
