Moussa Sissoko makes promise to Spurs fans after his injury setback

Moussa Sissoko has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts following the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Wembley yesterday afternoon.

The midfielder suffered a groin injury five minutes before half time which saw him having to be replaced by Erik Lamela, despite trying to play on with the issue.

Sissoko has been in fine form for Tottenham this season and has shown a considerable improvement in his form compared to his first two seasons with the club.

His injury not only represents a blow considering the Frenchman’s upturn in fortunes at Spurs but also gives Mauricio Pochettino some serious selection issues in central midfield.

Mousa Dembele is out of contract in the summer and has been heavily linked with a move to China during the current transfer window. Victor Wanyama is battling with knee issues and has yet to return to full training while Eric Dier has participated in some sessions as he recovers from his appendix operation.

Sissoko has promised to come back stronger from his injury setback.
