No bids for winger insists chairman

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has revealed that there has been no offers made for Wilfried Zaha.

The winger has been heavily linked with moves to both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea over the course of the summer, but nothing has materialised.

Parish says that it would be a ‘ridiculous point to do it’ if the Eagles were to consider an offer at this late stage of the transfer window.

Zaha is rumoured to be wanting to test himself at a bigger club and play Champions League football, but with four years left on his current contract they are valuing the player at around £75million. He is said to earn around £100,000 a week at Selhurst Park and has rejected an improved offer.

Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports last night, Parish said: “It would be a ridiculous point to do it, wouldn’t it?

“I mean to go the whole transfer window and only think about it now to come in with a bid would be ridiculous.”
