No fear over Poch’s future claims Spurs insider

The Sun are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are not confident that Mauricio Pochettino will not walk away as manager.

Pochettino’s comments after the disappointing FA Cup semi final defeat to Manchester United at Wembley were interpreted by some as a threat by Pochettino over his future at the club.

Tottenham started the game brilliantly and took a deserved lead, only to allow United back into the game to book their place in the final against Chelsea.

Speaking after the defeat, Pochettino told the media: “Tottenham need more time with me or with another, but the most important thing is to keep going and keep developing that philosophy that is fantastic for this club.

“I have no regrets. We try to learn always but it is difficult, it’s not about learning, its about having the capacity to beat your opponent.”

The Sun claim that they have spoken to an insider at Spurs who has insisted that there is calm within the club over the future of the manager.

The source told The Sun: “It was seen as no big deal here.

“Mauricio was just talking long-term after a disappointing day for all of us.

“Nobody at the club expects or wants him to leave. He is still very much determined to continue what he has started.”
