‘No Jan or Eriksen, what a joke’ – Some Spurs fans react to the team vs Newcastle

Moments ago Mauricio Pochettino revealed his Tottenham Hotspur squad which will face Newcastle United this afternoon.

The Spurs boss has made changes to the side which drew 2-2 against Manchester City last weekend.

Heung-min Son, who has missed the opening two matches of the season due to the red card he picked up last season comes straight back into the side at the expense of Christian Eriksen, who drops down to the bench.

Lucas Moura also gets a deserved start with Tanguy Ndombele sidelined with a minor thigh strain.

Jan Vertonghen has once again had to make do with a place among the subs with Pochettino deciding to keep the central defensive partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez for a third successive match.

Elsewhere, there was no place in the squad for Victor Wanyama or Serge Aurier with both players potentially heading out of the door before the European transfer window closes.
