Ossie Ardiles believes that Tottenham Hotspur are capable of progressing to the semi final of the Champions League.

Spurs travel to the Etihad on Wednesday evening for the second leg of the quarter final tie against Manchester City and will take a one goal advantage with them.

Mauricio Pochettino will be without Harry Kane after the prolific marksman suffered a significant ankle injury, yet Ardiles thinks that his former side perform best when they are under pressure.

Ardiles was also full of praise for the club’s 100% start at their new 62,062 capacity seater stadium following victories against Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Huddersfield Town.

On Saturday, Spurs were comfortable 4-0 winners against already relegated Huddersfield which certainly raises the confidence ahead of the Champions League tie with Lucas Moura giving his manager a potential selection issue after bagging a hat-trick.

The former midfielder and manager took to Twitter to show his support for the lilywhites.
