Ossie Ardiles tweets message of support to Pochettino and his players

Former Tottenham Hotspur player and manager Ossie Ardiles praises Mauricio Pochettino’s side following their 1-0 win against Burnley.

From early on in the first half, it was obvious that the Clarets had come to Wembley to try and stifle Spurs and looked to hold on for a goalless draw.

Goalkeeper Joe Hart was arguably the biggest culprit with his time wasting, by taking an age to kick the ball from a goal kick, something that had not escaped the observations of Ardiles.

After the highs of what happened in Barcelona on Tuesday night, it could have been so easy for Spurs to come crashing back to earth with a result which would have not earned a victory.

In many years gone by, Spurs would have slipped up in this kind of game, but this notion seems to be alien under the leadership of Mauricio Pochettino.

Ardiles took to Twitter to congratulate the players and Mauricio Pochettino after Christian Eriksen’s 91st minute goal ensured all three points remained in London.
