Paul Merson predicts whether Spurs have enough to beat Leicester City

Paul Merson has shared his score prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham go into the match looking to keep the pressure on both Manchester City and Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title and to also tighten their grip on a top four finish.

If Spurs are to do the double over the Foxes, they will have to do it without the services of five of their players.

Harry Kane (ankle), Dele Alli (hamstring), Ben Davies (groin), Eric Dier (virus) and Vincent Janssen (knee) are all confirmed to miss the match at Wembley.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hoping that his available players come through the match unscathed and ready to take on Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Foxes could hand a debut to loanee Youri Tielemans, the Monaco man was also linked with a move to Spurs before the transfer window closed.

Merson has tipped Spurs to pick up another win and continue their push for an outside chance of title success.

He told Sky Sports: “This will be a hard game for Spurs as Leicester have been competing and doing well against the big teams – those sides have a go at them and they can counterattack with the pace of Jamie Vardy, while you also have James Maddison and Demarai Gray in support.

“However, despite this being a tough test, I do still see Spurs falling over the line again… they keep on winning, which is the main thing for them – you do not get any extra points for winning 6-0.”
