Tottenham Hotspur recently raided financially-stricken Wigan Athletic to secure the signing of one of their most highly rated young talents.

Midfielder Alfie Devine began playing at Liverpool’s academy when he was just four and was released by the Anfield outfit aged 11, before joining Wigan (The Sun).

The 16-year-old took to his Instagram story earlier today to post a photo of a Spurs shirt within the club’s home dressing room at the new stadium with the number 54 on the reverse, along with his name appearing on the digital screen above.

Devine could now be in line to be included in Jose Mourinho’s squad for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Ipswich Town in North London which kicks off at 15:00.
