Andros Townsend was part of the Crystal Palace side which became the first opposition to take to the field at the new Tottenham Hotspur last week in a competitive fixture.

The former Spurs midfielder came off the bench for the last 10 minutes of the 2-0 defeat for the Eagles to get the opportunity to play at the new 62,062 capacity seater stadium.

Townsend returned to N17 last night to watch Spurs take on Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final tie and took to Twitter to share a photo to show how impressed he was with the view from his seat.

He may have left the club under somewhat of a cloud, but he’ll always be considered as one of our own.
