Dele Alli returned to the Tottenham Hotspur starting line up for the Champions League second leg against Manchester City.
The midfielder fractured his left hand during the first leg at the new Spurs stadium which had left him a doubt for the trip to the Etihad.
The England man wore a protective cast over his hand and was clearly in discomfort from the opening few minutes when he was involved in a challenge with a City player.
Dele was asked to play a deeper role when Moussa Sissoko was forced off just before half time and had to be replaced by Fernando Llorente.
He took to Twitter yesterday to perfectly sum up the away goal victory against City with a photo that showed both him and former Spur Kyle Walker on the floor – one in agony and the other in ecstasy.
