Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to congratulate his Tottenham Hotspur team mates after the 1-0 win against Newcastle United.

A late goal from Heung-min Son gave Spurs a vital victory which takes them up to second in the Premier League goal.

It wasn’t the cleanest of strikes from the South Korean, but the important thing is Spurs are keeping the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City.

Son is a man in form, the strike was his seventh goal in seven Premier League games and takes him to 40 overall in the top flight – the ninth player to reach that figure for Tottenham.

The win means Mauricio Pochettino’s side have set a Premier League record as they reached 29 matches in a row without a draw, eclipsing Bolton’s mark of 28 set in 2011.

Kane, who is currently in the Bahamas to rehab his ankle injury was delighted with the victory. This is what he had to say on social media.
