Yesterday saw Tottenham Hotspur hand new five-year contracts to Ben Davies and Harry Winks to extend their stay in N17 (Spurs official).

However, there was a third player who also put pen to paper and he revealed the news on his Instagram account.

Young goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi shared the news that he had signed a professional deal with the North London club until 2021.

The 18-year-old joined Tottenham’s youth set-up full-time in July 2017 and has been rewarded for his form in between the sticks.

Arguably, Oluwayemi’s brightest moment in a Spurs shirt came last November when he saved two penalties in the Under-18’s 3-2 win at home to North London rivals Arsenal which ensured his side remained unbeaten at the top of the table (Spurs official).

His second save from twelve yards proved to be crucial given the fact that it came in the 86th minute of the match with Arsenal looking to secure an equaliser.

Spurs fans will be hoping that Oluwayemi continues his impressive development and could be knocking on Mauricio Pochettino’s door a few years from now.
