Tottenham Hotspur look set to tie up a transfer for Gedson Fernandes later today after the midfielder underwent a medical at the club’s training ground yesterday (Sky Sports).

Spurs appear to have beaten rivals West Ham United to the signature of the 21-year-old which will see him move to North London on an 18-month loan deal with a further option to make the deal permanent for a fee of 65m euros (£56m).

A photo has emerged on the Facebook profile of the Benfica midfielder’s father, Edeson which shows him in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with an upload date of 22nd December 2019.

This was the day on which Spurs lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the Premier League with Gedson appearing in the rear of the photo wearing a white hoody to keep a relatively low profile.

Edeson appears in further photos, wearing his Benfica shirt in support of Gedson on his Instagram profile.
