Tottenham Hotspur fans are now less than 24 hours away from watching a football match take place at their new 62,062 capacity seater stadium.
Tomorrow afternoon will see the club’s Under 18 side take on Southampton in a Premier League academy match that kicks off at 3pm.
Around 30,000 fans are expected to attend the fixture which is being held at the club’s new home as part of the first of two test events to be held this month.
Spurs grounds manager Darren Baldwin took to Twitter to post a close up of the lush green playing surface at the new stadium which contained a sign that read ‘Please keep off the grass’.
Baldwin’s caption of ‘But not for much longer’ was an acknowledgement of the inaugural match that will be played tomorrow.
Spurs’ senior side will host Crystal Palace in the first Premier League match to be held at the stadium on Wednesday, April 3rd.
