Photo: Spurs reveal players will wear special t-shirts ahead of Man Utd match

The Tottenham Hotspur first team squad have shown their support for Black Lives Matter campaign.

The club’s official Twitter account featured a photo of a number of players taking the knee including Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko, Toby Alderweireld, Ryan Sessegnon and Davinson Sanchez on one of the pitches at Hotspur Way.

All players were wearing black t-shirts which features the message ‘Together We Are Stronger’, the t-shirts will also be worn during warm-up prior to kick-off against Manchester United in North London on Friday evening.

The club have already announced that their playing shirt will include A Black Lives Matter for the remainder of the season, along with a badge thanking the NHS for its work during the coronavirus pandemic.

The names of Premier League players’ names will also be replaced on the back of their shirts with ‘Black Lives Matter’ for the first 12 matches of the restarted season (BBC).
