Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has taken to Instagram to post an update following his surgery.
The club confirmed yesterday evening with a post on the official site that the left-back had gone undergone groin surgery and is expected to return to training ahead of the new season.
The Welshman found himself made 27 appearances in the Premier League last season.
Davies posted a photo of himself on social media of him still in his hospital bed wearing his operating gown along with a caption confirming the operation had been a success and thanking well-wishers along with the medical staff for the care he received.
Danny Rose showed towards the end of the season why he should be regarded as Tottenham’s first choice left back. Davies is a more steady and ‘safe’ option while Rose is fearless at marauding forward and joining in with an attack down the flank to create opportunities in the final third.
