Pick YOUR Spurs team vs Swansea City

0

Aaron Lennon

Tottenham Hotspur face Swansea City at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon in what could be a tricky test for Tottenham.

If you were Harry Redknapp, what would YOUR Spurs starting eleven be for the visit of Brendan Rodger’s side?

Here’s what we have come up with:-

Friedel

Walker King Kaboul Assou-Ekotto

Lennon Modric Parker Bale

Van Der Vaart Adebayor

  1. not sure king will play as he did last tues. Would prefer to see defoe or saha up front than adey-defoe's pass for bales goal on tuesday was class, and the speed we need to be playing at again

    friedel
    walker, gallas, kaboul, assou-ekotto
    lennon, modric, parker, bale
    VDV, defoe

  2. We have turned into a team who looked like we could score loads of goals to a team struggling to score . The problem is Vaart is taking the place of a goal score and he is not scoring to justify is place we are also missing Huddlestone killer passes

  3. Friedel

    Kaboul King/Gallas Nelsen Assou-Ekotto

    Walker Modric Parker Bale

    Van Der Vaart Defoe

Subs: Cudicini, Gallas, Rose, Sandro, Lennon (15 mins for van der vaart), Saha, Adebayor

  4. Friedel; Walker, Gallas, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Vaart, Modric, Parker, Bale; Saha, Adebayor.

I have a feeling that Gallas will replace King again, plus Lennon didn't make the squad for the match against Bolton so I don't think Redknapp will start him against Swansea.

  5. Friedel
    Walker Gallas Younes BAE
    Lennon Livermore Modric Bale
    Defoe Adebayor

Vdv looking tired after just 70 mins, Defoe in too hot form not to start him

  6. In my opinion that team that u have picked is our strongest team. Hopefully we will turn Swansea over tomorrow 3-0 vdv adebayor and bale to score!

  7. keiren, your going back to everything that was wrong with our tactics in our little blip, with that formation, with those players in it. If Lennon doesn't start, we should stick to the 4-3-3. If he does start our trusted 4-5-1 is the order of the day. 4-4-2 should rarely be played if we don't have two natural wide players and against a team like Swansea we won't see much of the ball unless we match them in midfield. 4-4-2 is not a bad idea if we have a very fit Lennon, because even if we didn't see much of the ball, we have natural cover to our full backs with Lennon and Bale as well as being able to cause them all sorts of problems going forward.

  8. If fit lennon, if not…..
    brad
    kaboul gallas king bae
    walker parker mod bale
    ade saha

Vdv drops to deep into modrics area, (plus shite at set peaces) defoe greedy & not a team player, ade contibutes alot saha good finisher.
