Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is once again being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The South African international is out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer and according to reports Harry Redknapp is ready to test their resolve with a £1.5million bid.

Pienaar has been reluctant to sign a new deal and an offer of around £3million is thought to be enough to persuade Everton to allow him to leave.

  1. Still, if we could get Pienaar for 1,5 it would be a bargain. With Krancjar moving, we would loose some quality on the bench and Pienaar would more then fill his shoes. Don’t worry, altought a midfielder is the last thing we need there will be enought money for other stuff too.

  2. Crouch didnt play much against Fulham, but Pav was very miserable. I agree we need the striker, there is not enough goals from our strikers, good we've got Rafa and Bale

  3. Crouch and Pav seem to be getting worse by the week. So much for the competition for places theory. I’d say that each one of them thinks that the other is in danger of being replaced. Lol.

  4. hey, everton fan in peace, just wondering if you believe that the deal is done. In the articles that i have seen there have been no quotes from either parties which suggests to me that it is some untrue papertalk. Anyway on to pienaar, he is a quality player with balls of pace and ball control, but if you watch him often like i do, you will notice that he is the 'almost' player. He almost gets past his man, he almost gets the ball in, he almost gets the pass right. Im not saying that he is bad player and never does anything, because he is great and runs his socks off, but he is an 'almost' player. Also to get the best out of him, you need a quality left back or right back to work with him.
