Match Summary

Tottenham Hotspur gave their fans the best possible Christmas present this evening, thumping six past Everton away from home.

Pochettino’s players had to come from behind after former Arsenal player Theo Walcott bundled home Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s low cross from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s pass.

Goals from Harry Kane Kane, Heung-min Son, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli gave Spurs a memorable win against the Toffees on a night of near perfection for the Lilywhites at Goodison Park.

Victory for Mauricio Pochettino’s side takes them to two points from Manchester city who occupy second place in the Premier League table.

Spurs head into Christmas five points ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal, who are fourth and fifth respectively.

This is the fourth time Tottenham have scored six or more goals in a Premier League away game, with three of those coming in the last three seasons, and twice against a side managed by Marco Silva.
