Christian Eriksen laid on an attacking masterclass by scoring twice and setting up another as Tottenham cruised to a 3-0 victory over struggling Hull.

Eriksen was deployed in a deeper central midfield role at White Hart Lane and he could have completed his hat-trick in the second half had Hull goalkeeper David Marshall not pushed his bending free-kick onto the post.

Victor Wanyama, however, was on hand to slam home the rebound as Spurs secured their fourth win in 14 matches.

  1. I thouht the overall performance was bang average, the opponents were awful. Ali again was poor and the mark of 6 is masking his lack of contribution(4 at best) for the benefit of both the team and Ali himself we should drop him from the starting 11. Kane was again less than mediocre, he offered practically nothing, yet we see him as a messiah(score of 4 from me), he has lost his spark and MP needs to do his job and get him back on track. Great to see Erickson bagging two goals, hoping he kicks on from here.

Its strange Ali,Kane and Eriksen were our key attacking threats last year and so far they haven't turned up this year, MP needs to get us back on song, one method would be for us to re-introduce the high pressing game which has dissappeared.

  2. DIER 6 LOL LAUGHABLE. HE PLAYED WELL HENCE THE ZERO FOR HULL, PROVIDED THE BALL FOR WALKER TO PLAY IN ERIKSEN. WATCH WITH YOUR EYES NEXT TIME MATE

  3. I agree that it was not as good a performance as the result would suggest. Ali a major disappointment and simply not the player of last year. Maybe he does need a rest to recharge the batteries. Kane still too isolated up front. The system is one I have been advocating for some time as our pace is the full backs and it has to be an advantage to get them higher up the pitch whilst providing more cover behind them. Tottenham are not as yet firing on all cylinders but remain in touch with the top four. The return to form of Eriksen has been long overdue but it clearly shows how important he is to the creativity of the side. We need to start winning away starting with Saints and Watford but top four is certainly not out of the question. Winks a big plus to the squad.
