PLAYER RATINGS: Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Dom Le Roy

What a week it has been for Tottenham Hotspur.  First of all, a very impressive display in the 1-1 draw against Real Madrid, followed up by what can only be described as a demolition of Liverpool at Wembley in a 4-1 win for Pochettino’s side.

Harry Kane capitalised on another defensive horror show from Liverpool by scoring twice, with Heung-min Son and Dele Alli both chipping in with a goal apiece to give us a comfortable victory.

Below are our Tottenham player ratings following the victory which has taken us level on points with Manchester United, who we face on Saturday lunchtime.

Hugo Lloris – 9

Kieran Trippier – 7

Jan Vertonghen – 7

Toby Alderweireld – 7

Davinson Sanchez – 7

Serge Aurier – 6

Harry Winks – 8

Dele Alli – 9

Christian Eriksen – 8

Heung-min Son – 8

Harry Kane – 9

Moussa Sissoko – 6

Eric Dier – 6

Fernando Llorente – 6

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Kane obviously brilliant again and a 9. Son looked really fast today and may that continue. A 9 also. Vertonghen put in an unbelievable performance ! he was masterful. I do not know if he committed a foul and yet was involved in numerous challenges. He timed everything today almost perfectly. A definite 9. Apart from the goal and a few meaningless nutmegs I thought Ali looked lost. He did score though so a 7 is fair. Aurier apart from his unwillingness to put the ball out of play had a decent game at very worst a 7.5. He had to handle Liverpool's only real threat in Salah today and Poch made a clever move putting him there. I like Winks but people are getting carried away. Defensively he looked poor against Madrid and today also. He does show great promise and i am happy with him overall but the last two games the media raved about him and he was average at best. Great Win. COYS!
