Serge Aurier - 7

Aurier seems to have turned a new leaf for Spurs this season. He was defensively disciplined and offered a lot going forward, including a pinpoint cross onto Llorente's head late on. His last ditch tackle also kept the score lines level in the first half.

Tottenham built on their win against Brighton last weekend with a narrow victory over Watford in the Carabao Cup, but it took penalties to clinch it at Stadium MK.

Watford actually took the lead, despite fielding a significantly weakened team, as Isaac Success buried his chance well.

Spurs them came from behind to lead 2-1 with a penalty from Dele Alli and a break away finished by a fine Erik Lamela chip.

It looked to be routine for Spurs from then on out, but ex-Lilywhite Etienne Capoue had other ideas as his deflected shot cannoned off Ben Davies and found the back of the net at the death.

The game went straight to penalties and Spurs progressed to the fourth round of the competition.
