Asmir Begovic has rvealed that he rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur for ‘sporting reasons’.
The goalkeeper even went as far as undergoing a medical with Tottenham, but opted instead to leave Portsmouth for Stoke in a £3.25million deal.
“Sorensen is the current No.1 but I intend to work hard and play regularly soon,” said Begovic.
“I was very close to signing for Tottenham, but rejected them due to sporting reasons.”
