Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make a move this summer for Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt according to German news outlet SportBild.
The speculation has seen some Spurs fans take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the possibility of the German international moving to North London.
Brandt is said to be attracting interest from Spurs along with Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old could be available for £21.5million due to a release clause contained within his current contract which has two years left to run.
With Christian Eriksen’s future at Spurs looking increasingly uncertain due to the fact that the Dane’s contract expires next summer, the club could be forced into selling him after the Champions League final or risk him walking away for free just twelve months later.
Brandt could certainly help to fill the void of Eriksen if he was to leave N17.
This is what some of the Spurs faithful are saying on Twitter…
He has just a 25m release clause… More like a Tottenham signing
