Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the news that Heung-min Son is set to undergo surgery (Spurs official).
The striker sustained a fracture to his right arm during Sunday’s victory at Aston Villa which at the time did not force the South Korean off the pitch.
Son played the full duration of the match in which he netted twice to help his side to a late 3-2 win against the Premier League strugglers.
With Harry Kane not expected to return to training until April, the 27-year-old has been helping to fill the goalscoring void left by the club’s top marksman.
Instead, Spurs are now going to be without the services of Son for a number of weeks during a pivotal part of the season including a significant week which will see the return of the Champions League with the visit of RB Leipzig tomorrow night along with the trip to fourth place Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
Here is how some fans reacted to the news.
Well thank god we managed to bring in a back up striker last window to compensate for the 2 injuries we’ve had to our number 9s
