It hasn’t been the prettiest of first halves from Tottenham Hotspur once more, with Newcastle United having the better of the opportunities to break the deadlock at Wembley.
Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to voice their concerns about the performance from Mauricio Pochettino’s side, whilst you can hear the groans from the fans at the stadium loud and clear on the TV.
Jan Vertonghen, who has been arguably our player of the year has looked off the boil with many fans believing that the Belgian is still suffering from the twisted ankle suffered at the Hawthorns last weekend.
Moussa Sissoko who started in midfield is also coming in for the standard stick for yet another lacklustre performance, we just aren’t moving the ball quick enough and creating an opportunities.
Here’s a selection of Tweets from your fellow fans:
Vertonghen is having a mare, is he fit?! He might have to come off at HT at this rate.

Jan Vertonghen being our weak point was not a plot twist I was ready for.

Verts has made more errors in the 28mins so far..than the entire season.
Dont think he is 100% fit. Yet we have Toby on the bench !

Whoever thought Sissoko and Wanyama is the midfield pair we need to play with in a must win game needs a hard look in the mirror.

Poch needs to change this now. Not in the 89th minute and then say we tried to compete. #THFC

What our first sub should be: Lucas for Sissoko ASAP
What our first sub will be: Foyth for Eriksen in the 88th minute.#COYS

Is Sissoko anything but a slow, backwards-passing, piece of meat? #coys

Games like these are exactly the type which need changing now or at half-time not with just 20 minutes of the match to go.

Playing Lucas in this kind of game fixes everything. Take off Sissoko and just have wanyama holding with eriksen or dele playing deeper.
