Mauricio Pochettino believes that Tottenham Hotspur can still catch Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title.
Pochettino watched his side close the gap to seven points between his side and Chelsea after a 3-2 win against Everton at White Hart Lane earlier today.
Chelsea have a game in hand which could extend the margin to ten points should they beat West Ham United tomorrow night, but Poch believes his players are capable of making the title race far more than a forgone conclusion for Antonio Conte and co.
“The most important thing is to show the belief on the pitch and today I think we showed that,” Pochettino told the media after the win at White Hart Lane.
“More than talk and more than speak outside, it is better the team show their performance because I think (regarding) belief the answer is very easy.
“We need to be there, it’s not up to us of course, but it’s up to us to be ready if they fail.”
A brace from Harry Kane and what proved to be a crucial goal from Dele Alli ensured that Spurs remain unbeaten at the Lane in the league this season.
