Pochettino identifies Dembele replacement

Tottenham seem to have been linked with practically every midfielder in Europe during the course of this week and the next player to appear on the transfer rumour mill is Steven N’Zonzi.

The 29-year-old, who previously played for Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City has been with Sevilla since 2015 after completing a £7million move. N’Zonzi has flourished at the Spanish outfit and has a €40M release clause in his contract.

According to the Italia national sports newspaper, the Corriere dello Sport, Mauricio Pochettino has identified the 6’ 6” midfielder as a replacement for Mousa Dembele who is being tipped to leave Spurs this summer.

Dembele, who is 31 this month has just 12 months to run on his contract and has been heavily linked with moves to Inter Milan, Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan along with possible switches to China and the USA.

Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele has also been linked with a possible move to Spurs in recent days.
