Former Premier League midfielder Matt Le Tissier has questioned the current ability of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks.

Le Tissier believes that while Winks is capable of doing the simple things well, the ex-Southampton player has suggested that the 23-year-old struggles to do anything more complex.

The comments were made on Twitter as a reply to former Spurs midfielder Kevin Watson who was full of praise for Winks after his commanding display in the middle of the park against Leicester City.

The majority of Spurs fans will certainly raise their eyebrows to the negative viewpoint of the Sky Sports pundit. Winks has been a solid performer alongside Moussa Sissoko in what has been an injury hit campaign for the likes of Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele before he headed off to China.

Winks came up with a vital last minute winner in the recent win at Fulham which was helped the club to reach the 60 point mark at this stage of a Premier League campaign for the first time.
