PSG boss sings the praises of Tottenham defender ahead of possible deal

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken about Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose, when asked about a potential deal for the player.

Tuchel, who previously was in charge at Borussia Dortmund mentioned the left-back in high praise by saying it took him three days to work out how to stop him while he was at the Bundesliga outfit.

Rose has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham with Schalke and PSG said to be keen on landing the England international before the European transfer window closes on August 31st.

He has yet to feature for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the opening two matches, against Newcastle he wasn’t in the matchday squad and had to settle for a place on the bench in last weekend’s win against Fulham at Wembley.

Despite Tuchel’s homework on Rose ahead of the two Europa League ties, he did not feature in either match with Pochettino opting to field a stronger side in the Premier League.

Tuchel said as quoted by Metro: ‘I will not comment on transfer rumours. I will simply say that I came up against Tottenham Hotspur 3 years ago & it took me 3 days to work out how best to combat him.’
