Pundit claims something isn’t quite right at Tottenham

Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills has claimed that something is not right at Tottenham Hotspur at the moment.

Tottenham suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 at Leicester City this afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now failed to win three consecutive away Premier League games when they were leading at half-time for the first time since March 2008.

Harry Kane had put the away side ahead with an impressive finish in the first half and they looked to have doubled their lead in the second half when Serge Aurier drilled a shot past Kasper Schmeichel, only for VAR to chalk off the goal.

Leicester went down the field just moments later and equalised and took all three points five minutes from time when he drilled a low effort into the far corner from distance.

Tottenham are now without a win in their last nine away games in the Premier League (W0 D2 L7) – they last had a longer winless away run between April and December 2006 (10).

Mills told Football Insider: “Something isn’t quite right. (It was a) big game for Tottenham today, massive game in fact.

“Suddenly it’s a very disappointing start to the season. They had a lot to play for at Leicester. He left Eriksen on the bench today, that’s a brave call, Ndombele came in – he wasn’t great either (v Olympiacos).”
