Rate the Players: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Manchester City

Another individual error ended up costing Tottenham Hotspur once more after losing 1-0 to Manchester City at Wembley.

In the build-up to the match, all of the talk was about the state of the Wembley playing surface but the grass could not be blamed for how we conceded. Terrible decision making from Kieran Tripper allowed Raheem Sterling to get in behind him.

The former Liverpool man managed to find Riyad Mahrez who had evaded Ben Davies on the other flank to race into the box and put the away side in front after just 6 minutes of action.

Tottenham’s best chance came on 80 minutes when substitute Dele Alli played in Erik Lamela who skied the ball over the bar when it looked easier to score.
