Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways with a victory against Premier League strugglers Cardiff City at Wembley Stadium.
Tottenham took just eight minutes to open the scoring, Davinson Sanchez saw his header blocked by Joe Bennett, which spun into the path of Eric Dier and from six yards out he took it first time to find the back of the net. The goal was Dier’s first in the Premier League for 18 months.
Joe Ralls was shown a straight red card on 58 minutes for a disgusting challenge on Lucas Moura which on a bad day, could have left the Brazilian with a broken leg.
In the end, it wasn’t a convincing performance for Spurs but the most important thing is another three points.
