Redknapp jokes Messi wants Spurs move

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has joked that Barcelona ace Lionel Messi would like to join the club.

Redknapp was being quizzed outside Spurs Lodge by Sky Sports News and was much calmer than he was in the now famous YouTube video.

When asked if there’s one player he’d like to sign, Redknapp joked: “Well, we’ve spoken to Lionel [Messi] – he really wants to play for Tottenham Hotspur.”
