Report: £10m signing not part of Jose Mourinho’s plans this season

Jose Mourinho does not consider Jack Clarke to be part of his first team plans this season, according to The Guardian.

The winger joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side for £10million fee in July of last year (Sun) and was sent back to the Elland Road outfit with the plan for him to remain for the duration of the 2020/21 campaign (Telegraph).

Clarke’s return to his former side proved to be an ill-fated decision after he played just 19 minutes of Championship football at Marcelo Bielsa’s side before his loan spell was ended by Spurs in January (The Sun).

The 19-year-old was once again sent out on loan to QPR and also failed to get regular first team football (transfermarkt).

Clarke instead finds himself featuring for the club’s Under-23 side where he found the back of the net in the 2-1 win against Southampton on Saturday.

With the EFL transfer window still open, it remains to be seen whether Clarke will head out for yet another loan spell.
