Report: 77-goal Premier League forward linked with Spurs switch

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a summer move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

The England international is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the current campaign and has found himself behind the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firminho and Sadio Mane in the attacking pecking order at Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Spurs have heavily relied on Harry Kane to provide the goals and have previously struggled to recruit an additional forward who can come in and take the burden off the club’s top hit man.

Roberto Soldado, Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente have all failed to make an impact at the club.

Sturridge has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons and has made 14 Premier League appearances this season, scoring two goals.

The 29-year-old has suffered with hamstring problems amongst other injury issues in the past after experiencing a troublesome few seasons.

The Daily Mirror (February 12, page 56) claims that the forward, who earns £120,000-a-week with the Reds is interesting Tottenham and would be available on a free transfer.
