There are disturbing reports coming out of France this morning which claim that Serge Aurier’s brother has been murdered.
French news outlet Europe 1 claim that the brother of the Tottenham Hotspur right-back was shot dead in Toulouse in the early hours of this morning and the shooter is still on the run from the police.
La Depeche add that the 26-year-old was shot twice in the abdomen while he was in a nightclub within the Thibaud area of the city and was taken to the University Hospital of Rangueil by the fire brigade but died of his injuries.
The police are continuing their investigations this morning and are looking for witnesses to help them bring the murderer to justice.
Aurier was named in Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven for the 2-1 North London derby win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday afternoon.
