Report: Chelsea move ahead of Spurs in race for French international

Chelsea are reported to have moved ahead of Spurs in the race for Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar.

The French international has failed to live up to expectations in the Spanish capital after moving to Atletico in the summer of 2018 and it is alleged that he is now surplus to requirements with bestusaonlinecasinos.com offering great odds on a move to the Champions League finalists.

The Telegraph claims that Lemar has been told he can leave the club this month and that Spurs were the first team to register their interest in winger and are keen to recruit him on loan until the end of the season.

However, it is suggested that Chelsea have lodged an offer to take the player to Stamford Bridge on loan which many online sports betting sites would see increase the Londoners betting chances of winning the Premier League.

It is further revealed that both Chelsea and Spurs could also face competition from Russian clubs for Lemar’s signature this month.

The Independent reported a few days ago that Arsenal were also keen on the former Monaco winger’s signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

I was desperate for us to sign Lemar when we were linked with him a couple of years ago but his stock has clearly fallen due to his poor form for Atletico. At this point, anything other than a loan move for him would be a big gamble. I would rather break the bank for someone like Adama Traore rather than take a chance on Lemar.
