Report: Chelsea player biding his time following Spurs speculation

Any hopes which Tottenham Hotspur have of landing Chelsea midfielder Willian in the summer could depend on where they finish in the Premier League table this season.

The Brazilian is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and has revealed that talks have hit a deadlock after he was offered a new two-year deal whilst the 31-year-old made his intentions clear that he expected to have been tabled an extension for three years (ESPN Brasil).

Willian has been linked with a move to Tottenham at the end of the season with Jose Mourinho said to be interested in reuniting with his former player in North London (Express).

He is said to be holding out to see if Tottenham or Arsenal can offer him Champions League football next season and is said to be settled with life in London with his family (Daily Star).

The 31-year-old has played 329 games for Chelsea and scored in Sunday’s 4-0 demolition of Everton which extended their advantage in fourth place to seven points ahead of Spurs.
