Report claims the length of contract Hojbjerg will sign and when he is set to undergo medical

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will sign a five-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

The journalist took to Twitter to claim that Tottenham had agreed a £15million fee with Southampton which could rise to £19million.

The Danish midfielder is expected to undergo a medical with the Champions League finalists early next week and will become the club’s first signing of the summer.

It is claimed that Everton were also keen on landing the Danish international and had an offer accepted by the Saints, only for the player to have had his heart set on a switch to Jose Mourinho’s side.

Hojbjerg was due to be out of contract next summer with Southampton deciding to cash in now rather than risk losing him as a free agent next summer.

Both clubs are said to have been negotiations for a number of months and it now appears that a deal has been reached.
