Report: ‘Growing confidence’ that Spurs are set to break their transfer record

There is increased hope that a deal between Lyon and Tottenham Hotspur can be reached for the signature of Tanguy Ndombele.

Football.london report that Daniel Levy is continuing his talks with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas and that ‘all parties’ believe a deal can be done.

The French midfielder recently hailed Tottenham as a “big club” and admitted he is interested in signing for Mauricio Pochettino in an interview with Telefoot.

Aulas recently revealed that the club are preparing for life without Ndombele by potentially recruiting a young box to box midfielder (Get French Football News).

Lyon are understood to be demanding in excess of £60million for the 22-year-old and the clubs still some way apart in their valuations of the player (Evening Standard).

Ndombele is currently on holiday and is said to be ready to make a decision upon his return in July (Sky Sports).

Tottenham have still not filled the void left by Mousa Dembele’s departure to China in January and a club record deal for Ndombele would certainly send a message to the rest of the Premier League that Spurs mean business.
