Report: Harry Kane reveals what he did after Pochettino sacking

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans were left surprised on Tuesday evening when the club announced that they had parted company with head coach Mauricio Pochettino just months after he had guided them to the Champions League final.

Daniel Levy decided to release the 46-year-old of his managerial duties after five and a half years at the helm in North London.

Embarrassing cup performances against Bayern Munich and Colchester United coupled with only managing to win three of the opening twelve Premier League campaigns was enough for Pochettino to receive his P45.

Harry Kane, who is currently captaining the side in the absence of the injured Hugo Lloris revealed that he went to meet with Pochettino at his house and was left surprised by the decision.

Kane also stated that he has been barred by the club from revealing how he found out about the news of the dismissal.

Other players including Eric Dier have also met with their former manager.

Kane told The Mirror:

“They’ve asked me not to talk about it.”

He added: “I went round his house and caught up with him the next day.

“It was a shock for everyone, so I wanted to go and see him and we had a chat for a couple of hours and it was nice to do that before the new manager came in.”
