Report: Harry Kane suffers injury problem during England training session

Harry Kane looks set to miss England’s UEFA Nations League qualifier against Belgium after the striker suffered a muscular strain.

The Sun claim that the Tottenham Hotspur forward strained a muscle in training ahead of the fixture at Wembley and will sit out the match as a precaution.

Kane has been heavily involved in Tottenham’s hectic fixture schedule since the start of the campaign having played in all eight of the North London outfit’s matches in all competitions (transfermarkt).

His absence could mean that Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be in line for a second start after scoring on his debut against Wales.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho made it clear to Southgate that he did not want his star striker featuring in all three of England’s fixtures given the amount of football he has had to play recently (Football365).

The Daily Mail claim that Kane will remain with the England squad and it remains to be seen whether he will be risked in Wednesday night’s match against Denmark.
